Welcome to KD’S PLACE, home of the Sassy Soul Poet. I’m K.D. Finnegan, and I’m delighted to share my story with you. As a teen I dreamed of writing my own book, and that dream blossomed into Silly Me — a playful children’s book about love, brimming with silly rhymes and bright, colorful pictures that spark giggles and warm hearts. I’ve also penned adult poetry that explores healing from childhood trauma, blending honesty with hope. I’m certified in Trauma-Informed Coaching and lead Trauma-Informed workshops as well as private Zoom coaching sessions designed to support gentle growth and resilience. Recently I opened KD’s Place Local Books & Arts in downtown Erie, PA — a welcoming community hub where local authors, artists, musicians, and poets come together. We host free weekly events like karaoke, poetry slams, and craft nights, and we feature a cozy café plus rentable space for private parties and gatherings.
