Welcome to KD’S PLACE, home of the Sassy Soul Poet. I’m excited to share my story. As a teen, I loved dreaming up stories and plays, always hoping to write my own book someday. That dream came true with my first children’s book, Silly Me. It’s a fun tale about love, filled with silly rhymes and colorful pictures, showing kids that love is their own unique special gift.

Silly Me began as a poem I wrote. At the 2023 Nationals Season 10 Poetry Publishing Workshop in Los Angeles, I turned the poem into a song, sparking my journey into children’s books. My book has been featured at live poetry events in Erie, PA.
